BRACEs faq

This is a great question that you're probably asking yourself. We know there are a lot of options for your treatment, so we want you to feel comfortable with your choice of Saperstein Orthodontics

You will be treated by two board certified orthodontists.

Only about 1/3 of orthodontists have voluntarily taken and passed this rigorous written and clinical exam.

We will treat you like family, because we truly are a family!

We are a privately owned office and you can be assured that you will see either Dr Elliot or Dr Vina at every appointment during your treatment.

We know that a lot of people want to fix their teeth, but are not sure if they

are a good candidate for braces or Invsalign?

Orthodontic treatment can be beneficial at almost any age! Braces aren't only for kids as we are seeing a rise in adult patients coming into the office. In fact, almost 25% of current orthodontic patients are over the age of 18. At Saperstein Orthodontics, we see patients who are looking to straighten their teeth for the first time, have started to notice their teeth shifting or even those who previously had braces but didn't wear their retainers (shh!).

A question that we also get is "Do I really need braces?" Most of the time the answer is a resounding YES!

With modern technology, braces or Invisalign can help correct

common orthodontic problems. Most of these concerns are genetic

and include crowding, spacing, flared teeth or jaw problems. Other

times we can unfortunately cause concerns with the early loss of baby teeth, sucking your thumb or dental accidents. By trusting Drs Elliot

and Vina with your orthodontic treatment, we'll be able to address your individual concerns and give you the smile you've always wanted!

There are a lot of things that go into orthodontic treatment. Drs Elliot and Vina are experts in moving teeth and giving you a confident smile. We'll be at every visit to answer all of your questions!

When you get your braces, we'll go over all the ways to take care of them. There are special ways to brush, floss and take care of your teeth with braces. As your treatment progresses, we might even talk about adding rubber bands to help your bite fit together like pieces of a puzzle! You may be a little sore for a day or two after adjustments as your teeth and gums get used to new movements. With awesome cooperation from our patients, we expect non-complex cases to finish in less than 24 months.
